Private Notary

According to Minister of Justice Decision No. 76 of 2017 regarding the regulation of business licences and the obligations of a private notary, notary work is no longer limited to public notaries appointed at the Ministry of Justice. Lawyer Ebtisam AlSabbagh holds a licence to practise the work of a private notary from the Minister of Justice.

Accordingly, the office documents all contracts, powers of attorney and official documents and ratifies declarations, including:

• Powers of attorney (for lawyers, undergraduates, establishing or managing a company or shop, vehicles and ships, shares).
• Company contracts (joint stock, limited liability, partnership and limited partnership companies), mortgage contracts, lease agreements, employment and reconciliation agreements, marriage or divorce contracts for non-Muslims, cancellation contracts.
• Declarations (housing documents, acknowledgment of receiving money, assignment of shares or shops, acknowledgment of indebtedness).
• Editing, certification and legalisation of contracts, signature authenticity, date proof, salary certificates and amendments to memorandums of association.
